A Poole-based barbering training academy has been celebrating in style after picking up a top industry award. The MOBAA’s – Modern Barber Awards, is the industry’s only dedicated award platform to celebrate creative and commercial success.
Mike Taylor Education, located on Wimborne Road, Poole scooped the award for BEST TRAINING 2018 after being selected by a panel of expert judges. The training academy is the brainchild of Poole-based barber Mike Taylor, founder of the British Barbers’ Association and co-owner of a successful network of independent barbershops across Hampshire and Dorset.
Rachel Gould, Editor of Modern Barber Magazine said “This category was about highlighting the training either of an Academy or a shop that delivers superior standard skills into the hands of new and experienced barbers. We wanted to hear about the qualifications, methods and success rates that are helping to protect our industry standards.”
Mike Taylor went on to say “The MOBAA’s was the perfect opportunity for us to demonstrate the quality of training we deliver. Being shortlisted alongside some of the best-known educators in the industry was an amazing feeling. Going on to win the award validates all the hard work the whole team have put in over the last 6 years.”
“Winning this award shows that not everything is in London, now Dorset has the best barber training school in the UK”.
Mike Taylor has been a barber for 28 years and been teaching barbering for 13 years. He is the author of the barbering training book sold in all Salon Services stores and delivers top class barbering training all over the world.
