Scotland’s Best Barber joins the Great British Barbering Academy

The Great British Barbering Academy (GBBA) is proud to introduce Stacey McCabe as the latest barber to join its professional ranks.

Stacey, who owns Jentz Male Grooming on Maxwelton Avenue, East Kilbride, has been creating stylish cuts in her shop for 12 years. The Glaswegian woman was also crowned Scotland’s Best Barber 2016, beating off tough competition in a 90-minute final at Scottish Hair and Beauty.

“To me, it has always been about the client,” she said on her victory. “Winning the award is both amazing and humbling, but there is still no better feeling than seeing my clients leave the salon feeling on top of the world. That’s the reason I do what I do.”

Stacey’s passion for barbering and the care and attention she gives each of her customers allows her to provide detailed education. “I’m excited to be a part of the Great British Barbering Academy and can’t wait to get stuck into the courses at Salon Services stores next year,” she added.

GBBA Head Educator Mike Taylor said: “At the Great British Barbering Academy, we strongly believe that to be the best, you have to invest in the best. And that’s why we are happy to welcome Stacey to our team. She is a fantastic barber and has a history of delivering high-quality education.”

The GBBA will be hosting exclusive courses on behalf of premium barbershop brand The Bluebeards Revenge in an array of Salon Services stores from early 2017.
